Local Hotel Needs Help!

The hallway at this local hotel was flooded when a pipe leaked. SERVPRO of South Shasta County was on the job within an hour of receiving the call. We were able to extract water, remove baseboards and set equipment to get the drying process started. We had to try to keep the equipment as non invasive as possible in order to keep from affecting the flow of business. With customers in and out all day, there is always the chance of the equipment being in the way. We were able to get the hallways dried out and taken care of within just 3 days. The Management was very happy with the results and daily business was not affected. Another SERVPRO customer was left very happy.

Professional Drying in Burney Ca.

Not only did the water damage affect the store front of this business, it also seeped into the walkin cooler and the bathrooms.  Water takes the path of least resistance and it is better to be safe than sorry - “Leave no stone unturned” When a water damage occurs, make sure to check everywhere that water could have possibly gone.  You might be surprised at the places that water can end up at.  Our trained technicians made sure to perform a very thorough inspection in moving contents and checking every inch of the office and warehouse to ensure complete drying out of the structure and its contents.

Commercial Water Damage

The Roover does an amazing job extracting water from carpet. It's also kind of fun to operate. Just stand on top and pull water out of carpets. Can you see the water line?

Winter Storm causes tree to fall through homeowners roof.

Large Winter storms can cause severe damage to your home. In this case a homeowner had a tree fall directly through the living room section of the home. SERVPRO of South Shasta County was called to quickly respond to this emergency. Immediate water damage restoration began by extraction storm water and wet/damaged materials, boarding up damaged portions of the structure, and re positioning contents so no further damage is incurred. The result is a fully mitigated and dry structure ready for the SERVPRO build back team to restore the structure to its original condition and get the homeowner back to occupancy.

The Science of Drying

When the expert water technicians from SERVPRO of South Shasta County enter your home or business after a water disaster, we have two very important questions that we must answer before drying equipment is installed.  The first question is “What is Wet?”  The question sounds simple enough but the answer is often more complicated.  Standing water is obvious but it almost always means that hidden cavities of water exist that must also be found.  These hidden areas can be found under cabinets or laminated flooring.  Water can also seep under tile floors or hardwoods.  Beyond the floors, water often rests inside walls and insulation and can move to adjoining rooms.  Determining “What is Wet” is one of the most important questions we must answer.
